Update history and versioning
The App Store reports the current build as 1.0.9. The published release notes describe the 1.0 feature set that introduced the standalone watchOS player, local Wi-Fi transfer, lossless FLAC, synchronized LRC lyrics and background playback. Where a version number and a marketing version differ, both are shown rather than collapsed into one figure.
Stay current
Updates are delivered through the App Store, which means they are reviewed by Apple and installed through your paired iPhone. The app itself never checks for updates on its own.
Checking which version you have
Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone, find TickPlay, and the version is listed with the app details.
